Why did you choose to join First Tee-Phoenix?
I am a firm believer that golf enriches lives. The First Tee-Phoenix is a phenomenal, well-established and well-run youth development program, which positively impacts our future generation.
How would you best describe your level of play?
I’m a skilled golf who plays regularly.

Favorite golf course in the world – Old Head (Kinsale, Ireland)

Singing, hiking

Which college or university did you attend?
University of Arizona, Thunderbird School of International Management
What’s your profession and why did you choose it?
I work in the golf industry as a business-golf consultant. I also manage a foundation that forwards the legacy of the 13 Founders of the LPGA. My chosen profession is an evolution of roles and experiences I’ve had throughout the years. Yet the driving force of my choice is the opportunity to make a difference.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I don’t know that I had any vision as to what I might want to be when growing up other than something sports related.
Who was your mentor and how did they empower you?
I’ve had many mentors. I believe we each have thousands of mentors as we glean things from everyone we meet and observe. Some specific people:
– My father for discipline, stiving for excellence and having a variety of interests.
– My mother for sports and taking action
– Joel Weldon for speaking with impact
– Jack Waitkus (husband) for assuming good intentions in others
– Ross Wolman (cantor) for singing
– Sharona Feller (cantor) for chanting Torah
– Marilynn Smith for interpersonal skills and perseverance
– Maurine Karabatsos for seeing around corners and creatively exploring possibilities
